Virat Kohli is known for being a very passionate and intense player on the field. But he also has a funnier side. The fans saw that version of the former test skipper during the second day of the third test against New Zealand.
Kohli is usually known for his aggression and intensity on the field, especially while celebrating a wicket. But the fans at the Wankhede Stadium saw Virat’s funny side.
The fans started singing the famous Bollywood song “My Name is Lakhan” and Virat couldn’t resist without showing off a couple of dance steps. He was fielding in the slips when the fans started singing the song expecting some reaction from Kohli and eventually, they succeeded.
This wasn’t the first time Kohli has shown his dancing skills on the field. He was seen dancing to the same song earlier as well. It was during the 2023 ODI World Cup at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The DJ played the same song (My Name is Lakhan) and Kohli showed his dancing skills.

He has shown his moves during the 2016 ICC T20 World Cup against the West Indies at the Wankhede Stadium. Anil Kapoor, who was the actor in this song was cheering for team India. Kohli did a couple of famous steps of this song on the boundary. The actor also enjoyed the moment.
Kohli has been seen dancing or mimicking his teammates and other players on the field numerous times. There have been videos where was trying to imitate Jasprit Bumrah’s bowling action. We’ve also seen him having fun with youngsters like Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan during matches.
During the IPL he was seen trying to attempt the famous dance step from Shahrukh Khan’s movie “Pathaan” alongside the KKR owner after a game.
Virat’s current form hasn’t been that great in test cricket. India will expect him to do well in the 4th innings of the ongoing 3rd test against the Kiwis. India will be in for a record chase at the Wankhede Stadium and Virat will be eager to do well with the bat to win the game for India.
