The current BCCI secretary, Jay Shah will be taking over the role of the chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC). He is due to take the role from 1st December 2024.
Shah held the position for the first time in 2019. He again won the race and retained his position for the second time in 2022. Gujarat Cricket Association’s Anil Patel is another potential candidate to replace Jay Shah. Patel has done a good job for the Gujarat Cricket Association and has been successful as an administrator in the BCCI.
