Suryakumar Yadav had a special message for Rohit Sharma, as he welcomed his second child on Friday (November 15). His comments came during an interaction with Tilak Varma and Sanju Samson in a video posted by BCCI.
Rohit and Ritika announced the birth of the baby boy on Saturday. Taking to Instagram, he shared that their family had grown from three to four. The couple’s daughter, Samaira was born in 2018 and has often been spotted in the stands, enjoying the games.
After Samson and Varma scored a century in the final T20I against South Africa, they had a casual interaction with skipper SKY. On being asked to share a message for Rohit, Varma expressed his happiness and revealed that he would be joining Rohit in Mumbai in the next few days.
“Really very happy for you, Rohit bhai. We were waiting for this moment, and had it been 1-2 days later, I would have joined you there. I am coming soon,” Varma said.
Meanwhile, Samson said:
“Super happy for chetta (brother) and his family.”
Suryakumar Yadav engaged in a hilarious chat with the duo, as he went on to wish Rohit Sharma.
“Aur lagta hai hum logon ko abhi ready hona padega ek chota side-arm aur ek chote-chote pad sab leke jaana padega. Ek Naya cricketer aaya hai. (We should get ready with little side arm and pad as a new cricketer has come).”
Interestingly, all four players have been retained by their respective sides ahead of the auction. Rohit, Surya and Tilak will keep playing for Mumbai Indians, while Samson will continue to lead the Rajasthan Royals.
