Wasim Akram harassed by a fan during Perth test

Former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram, one of the best fast bowlers of all time, was harassed by a fan during the first test between India and Australia.

The first test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy was at the Optus Stadium in Perth. Akram is doing commentary for the test match for Star Sports and he was reportedly harassed by a fan for an hour.

The incident took place on Day 2 of the game. He was abused by the same fan for whom he signed an autograph as reported by The Daily Mail. 

The incident of a fan harassing the legendary pacer took place after the end of the day’s play. Akram left the stadium looking for a cab. The spectator was outside the Perth stadium and started bad-mouthing him.

Wasim Akram was fuming after the incident outside the Optus Stadium. He got into a heated The security was swift in removing the spectator. Cricket Australia has said that there will be security for the commentators during the broadcast shows on the field. 

Security will be tightened for the remainder of the series. The commentators will also have the option to be received by cars inside the venue. 

India defeated Australia by a big margin of 295 runs. The Pacers led by captain Jasprit Bumrah did a fantastic job throughout the game. Bumrah was selected as the man of the match in the first test at Optus. 

Rohit Sharma has joined the squad and will lead the team from the 2nd test at the Adelaide Oval. India now has a 1-0 lead in the 5-match series. Virat Kohli coming back to form is a big relief for the visitors. India will be the confident side going into the 2nd test match at the Oval. 

The 2nd test will start on 6th December and it will be a day-night test match with the pink ball.
