The third edition of the SA20 league will start from 9th January 2025. The first edition of the tournament was started back in 2022-23 by Cricket South Africa. The previous two editions of the SA20 have been very successful and many fans rate it as the second-best T20 league in the world after the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Coincidentally, all the teams in the SA20 are owned by the IPL franchises. A total of 34 matches will be played in this season. 30 of the 34 matches will be the league stage games and 4 matches will be played in the “play-offs”.
There are a total of 6 teams in the SA20 and all the big names of the cricketing world will participate in the tournament. The tournament will start on 9th January 2025 with the final on 8th February 2025.

When and where to watch SA20 2025 in India?
The South Africa 20 2025 will start on 9th January 2025. The majority of games will be played at 9:00 PM IST with some games at 7:00 PM IST. On days when two games will be played, the first game will start at 4:30 PM IST.
Disney+ Hotstar will stream the tournament 2025 in India. On Television, it can be viewed on the Star Sports Network.

SA20 2025: Most successful teams in SA20 league
There have been two editions of the South Africa 20 league and the Sunrisers Eastern Cape have won both editions and are the most successful team of the tournament. They defeated the Durban Super Giants in the final of the 2023-24 season by 89 runs.
The Sunrisers defeated the Pretoria Capitals by 4 wickets to become the inaugural champions of the tournament back in 2022-23.
Durban’s Heinrich Klaasen is the highest run-scorer of the tournament after 2 seasons with 810 runs in 23 matches at an average of 47.64 and has struck at a whopping rate of 185.77 including 7 fifties and a century to his name.
Sunrisers Eastern Cape’s Ottniel Baartman is the highest wicket-taker with 30 wickets to his name in 15 matches at an economy of 8.21 and a strike rate of just 10.10.
