According to Virat Kohli’s childhood coach, the star Indian batter is likely to leave India and settle down in London soon. Kohli was born and brought up in Delhi, but is rumored to have shifted his base to the UK for quite some time.

In the last few years, Kohli has been spotted spending most of his free time in London. In fact, his son Akaay was born on February this year in the same city.

After winning the T20 World Cup in the USA and West Indies, Kohli came back to India for the victory celebrations. The 36-year-old then left for Sri Lanka to play white-ball series. However, he traveled to London in July and made his way back to India in August, before the Bangladesh series. Kohli was the first player to arrive in Chennai, while other players reached Chennai together for the first test.

On being asked whether Kohli is deciding to shift his base, Rajkumar Sharma said to Dainik Jagran:

“Yes, Virat plans to move to London with his children and wife, Anushka Sharma. He is going to be leaving India and shifting very soon. However, right now, Kohli is spending most of his time with his family apart from cricket.”

One of the key reasons for Virat Kohli to migrate abroad is due to him wanting to move freely in the country. He and his wife Anushka Sharma are known to keep their personal life private and also haven’t revealed the faces of their children until now on social media.

Kohli was recently spotted having a fiery altercation with journalists in Melbourne airport after he found them allegedly filming the family. The right-hander will be next seen in action in the Boxing Day test against Australlia, with the series tied 1-1.

Cricketers who left India to play for another country

In India, it’s tough to be among the top 15 players to realize your dream of playing for the cricket-loving nation. One faces competition from age-group cricket to senior state to stake a claim for a place in the national squad.

The years of hardwork and patience don’t bear fruit for many, who resort to other opportunities to earn their bread and butter by playing cricket. Some players shift outside of India to make their dream come true, while few do it out of their choice.

Unmukt Chand

Below is the list of five cricketers who left India to represent different country:

#1 Unmukt Chand
#2 Saurabh Netravalkar
#3 Navneet Dhaliwal
#4 Harmeet Singh
#5 Pargat Singh

Indian U19 winning captain Unmukt Chand played in the domestic circuit and also played 21 IPL games. In the last few years, he has been trying hard to break into the USA side. Meanwhile, Saurabh Netravalkar represented Mumbai, while Harmeet plied his trade for Mumbai and Tripura in the domestic circuit. However, they are now playing for USA.

Navneet Dhaliwal and Pargat Singh were touted to be the future prospect for Punjab side in the early part of the last decade. However, after not finding enough opportunities, they shifted to Canada and are playing for the national side.
