WPL 2025 to start on February 14; final on March 15

The schedule for the third edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) has been announced. It is set to start on the 14th of February while the final is scheduled to be played on the 15th of March.  

The five-team event will be played across four venues. Baroda, Bengaluru, Lucknow and Mumbai have been picked as the four cities to host the 23 matches, including the Eliminator and the Final.  

It was earlier reported that the WPL 2025 will be played across only two venues i.e. Baroda and Lucknow but the Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) have added Bengaluru and Mumbai to the list as well.  

Gujarat Giants will take on defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the tournament opener on the 14th of February. The new BCA stadium in Baroda will host the game. There are six games scheduled in Baroda. Gujarat Giants will be played three of their matches here. 

The tournament moves to the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru which will host eight games. RCB will play as many as four home games. Lucknow has been assigned four fixtures, three of which will include the home team, UP Warriorz.  

The final leg of the WPL 2025 will be played in Mumbai. There are only two league games scheduled at the CCI (Mumbai Indians will feature in both those matches) before it hosts the Eliminator and the Final on the 13th and 15th of March respectively. There are no double-headers throughout the season. 

Delhi Capitals are the only team to not have a single home game this season.
