Former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh is all set to make his return to the cricket field later this month. Yuvraj will represent India Masters in the International Masters League (IML) 2025 alongside captain Sachin Tendulkar.
IML 2025 will take place from February 22 to March 16 across three different venues – Navi Mumbai, Rajkot and Raipur. The final leg of the league stage along with knockouts will be played in Raipur. The tournament will witness participation from six teams – India, Sri Lanka, West Indies, South Africa, Australia and England. Tendulkar, Kumar Sangakkara, Brian Lara, Jacques Kallis, Shane Watson and Eoin Morgan will be leading the respective sides.
The competition will be played in a single round-robin format, where each teams plays others once. The top four teams will qualify for the semi-finals, followed by the final. India will clash with Sri Lanka to kick off the tournament on February 22 in Navi Mumbai.
Yuvraj Singh was the key architect of India’s title victories in the 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 ODI World Cup. He retired from international cricket in 2019, scoring 11,778 runs in 402 games across all formats, with 17 centuries and 71 fifties. Since then, he has been playing in tournaments dedicated to former cricketers.
Yuvraj was last seen representing India Champions in the World Championship of Legends 2024. He garnered 152 runs in seven appearances, as India went on to lift the title after beating Pakistan in the final. The legendary all-rounder expressed his excitement in making return to the field and playing with Tendulkar again.
“Taking the field with Sachin (Tendulkar) and my other teammates feels like reliving the glory days,” Yuvraj Singh was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.
“Playing alongside all of them brings back so many memories. For me, the IML is a tribute to the era that defined Indian cricket, and I can’t wait to create some more unforgettable memories for all the fans who have supported us over the years,” he added.
Yuvraj Singh to launch T10 League in Canada
In collaboration with Star 333 Sports, Yuvraj Singh is all set to launch Canada Super 60, a T10 league based in Toronto, Canada. It will be the first league in North America to feature both men’s and women’s competitions from its inaugural edition.
Canada Super 60 will be played in July this year, and will have eight teams, with each of them consisting of local players, international stars and players from the associate nations.
“I am delighted to lend my leadership and vision to the Canada Super 60 League. This tournament has the potential to be a stepping stone for the future of cricket in this region. Combining local talent and international stars is a recipe for something truly special. I am excited to be part of this journey and can’t wait to see the impact this league will have on cricket in North America,” Yuvraj Singh said.

Notably, Yuvraj has been part of the Global T20 Canada (GT20), which was the first franchise T20 league in the country. He led the Toronto Nationals in the second season (2019) of the tournament.
