Australian skipper Pat Cummins has said that he’s a big fan of Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah.
This will be the first time Cummins will be leading Australia in BGT at home. The Aussies have not won the Border-Gavaskar Trophy for a very long time now. The pacer will be determined to lead his side to glory in this series.
Talking to the press ahead of the first Border-Gavaskar Trophy test at Perth, talked about his battles with Cheteshwar Pujara and Jasprit Bumrah. He highlighted how important Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane were for the Indian side on the last tour.
The first test of the series will start from 22nd November in Perth. There will be a 10-day gap between the end of the first test and the second test.

The Aussie pacer said that he really enjoyed playing against Cheteshwar Pujara. Talking about Rahane and Pujara during India’s last tour down under, he said, “They (Rahane and Pujara) both scored some really important innings”.
He further said, “It was always great playing against Pujara. He was one of those guys who never really felt like he was getting away from you. But then he would bat, and bat, and bat, and bat”.
“I always really enjoyed the contest against him. Some days he won, other days I won. So, it’s going to feel a bit different without him”.
On Jasprit Burmrah, the Australian skipper said, “I am a big fan of Bumrah. He is a fantastic bowler and can play a big role for India in the series. He’s one of the guys who has played a lot of cricket in Australia”.
Jasprit Bumrah is India’s vice-captain and he’s expected to lead the Indian team in the first test as Rohit Sharma’s participation in the first test is not confirmed.
