Indian cricket team celebrating T20 World Cup win

Indian cricket’s schedule for the year 2025 is out. There are many important tournaments and tours for Team India in 2025. Fans and players will expect the Indian cricket team to do well in these tournaments and tours.

2024 was a mixed year for Indian cricket. India won the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 at Barbados defeating the Proteas in a thriller of a final. This was the best moment in Indian cricket in 2024 as it ended their ICC trophy drought of 11 years. Before that, India last won the ICC Champions Trophy back in 2013 under MS Dhoni.

The tough times for Indian cricket started in the second half of 2024 as they first lost a test series after 12 years at home when the Kiwis defeated India 3-0. After that, India is currently struggling in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. They are 2-1 behind Australia with only one test remaining. India won the first test but then lost two games with one match ending in a draw.
