The KFC Big Bash League (BBL) will start on 15th December 2024. This will be the 14th edition of the tournament. The tournament started back in 2011 by Cricket Australia. It’s one of the top franchise cricket leagues in the world.
The first match of this edition of the BBL will be played between the Perth Scorchers and the Melbourne Stars at the Optus Stadium. The final of the tournament will be played on 27 January 2025.
A total of 44 matches will be played in the tournament. 40 of them will be the league stage games, and 4 matches will be played in the playoffs of the tournament.
There are 8 teams in the tournament. Big names from Australia and world cricket participate in the Big Bash League (BBL). The matches will be played across Australia at 11 different venues.

When and where to watch BBL 14 in India?
The Star Sports Network will broadcast the Big Bash League (BBL) 2024-25 in India. The tournament will be live-streamed on the Disney+ Hotstar app.
Most of the matches will start at 1:45 PM IST. Some days will have matches at 10:30 AM IST followed by 1:45 PM and on some days it will be IST 12:35 PM IST followed by 3:45 PM IST.

The Brisbane Heat won the last edition of the tournament. They defeated the Sydney Sixers by 54 runs in the final of the tournament at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG).
The Perth Scorchers are the most successful side in the league with 5 titles to their names. The Sydney Sixers are the second most successful side in the BBL with 3 titles to their name. Brisbane Heat have won 2 titles with Adelaide Strikers, Melbourne Renegades and Sydney Thunder winning the title once.
Melbourne Stars and Hobart Hurricanes are the only teams who have not won the title yet.
