Australia’s star all-rounder and one of the best players in cricket history, Ellyse Perry achieved a big milestone during the 2nd ODI against India at the Allan Border Field.
Perry scored 105 runs in the 2nd ODI of the 3-match series against India. With this century she completed 7000 runs in international cricket. She became the first women cricketer in international cricket to score 7000 runs and picked 300 wickets.
The all-rounder has been a consistent performer for Australia in women’s cricket. She hit 6 sixes in her 105-run innings against India and surpassed former Australian skipper Meg Lanning’s (40 sixes) record for most sixes for Australia in women’s ODI cricket. Perry has 42 sixes in women’s ODIs to his name.
Perry also completed 4000 runs in women’s ODIs. She’s behind Belinda Clarke (4844 runs), Karen Rolton (4814 runs) and Meg Lanning (4602 runs).
