Indian batter Virat Kohli was involved in a heated altercation with journalists in Melbourne airport on Thursday (December 19). The viral clip witnesses the 36-year-old lashing out at the reporters for clicking his pictures/taking videos while he was with his children.

Since the birth of their daughter, Vamika in 2021, Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma have tried to keep their child out of the public eye. They have asked the paparrazi to respect their privacy and have often put emojis on Vamika’s face even when sharing her photos online. Likewise, their newborn son, Akaay’s face has yet to go public.

The below post summarizes the whole story behind the motive of the power couple, as they don’t want to reveal the faces of their children. Moroever, with the rapid use of AI, a few of the celebrities aren’t comfortable sharing their family photos as well.

The same issue allegedly struck Kohli as he landed in Melbourne from Brisbane today. After he arrived, he saw a plethora of reporters filming him with his children and immediately expressed his displeasure.

“With kids, I need some privacy. You can’t film without asking me,” Kohli said.

However, Channel 7 reporter confirmed that the situation was resolved after Kohli was assured that the media was not filming their family. He also disclosed that the star cricketer also went on to shake hands of their cameraperson after the misunderstanding was cleared.

Virat Kohli going through rough patch ahead of Melbourne test

Virat Kohli had a game to remember in Perth, where he slammed a century and helped India to secure a dominating 295-run victory. However, he got a set platform by openers KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal, and he only had to steer the team on the same direction.

In the day-night test in Adelaide, he was under pressure against the pink-ball and couldn’t judge the bounce of the surface. Playing under lights, he tried to negotiate with Scott Boland, but the pacer managed to induce his edge around the area of uncertainty. The veteran batter returned with scores of 7 & 11 as Australia won the game by 10 wickets.

In the recently concluded Gabba test, Kohli’s nemesis Josh Hazlewood again invited him to throw his hands at the fuller ball pitched outside the off-stump. As a result, he was dismissed for 3, as India barely avoided a follow-on and the game eventually ended as a draw.

However, with the series tied 1-1, it becomes critical for Virat Kohli to get back to his former self and contribute for the side in a proficient fashion.
