A brand-new sports format was launched today (December 3). The World Tennis Cricket League (WTCL T10) is a blend of cricket and tennis which aims to revolutionize the global sports entertainment sector and wants to draw audiences from all around the world with a unique format. Harbhajan Singh is the brand ambassador.
The former India off-spinner was excited to launch the new format. He added that pushing boundaries in sport is something that he always believed in. Moreover, he is confident about this new sports format redefining the game on a global stage. Harbhajan is also the brand ambassador of Dubai Sports.
“Throughout my career, I have always believed in pushing the boundaries of sport. And the World Tennis Cricket League is a testament to that philosophy. This league represents a bold new vision that pushes cricket to newer depths. I am confident it will captivate sports fans across the world. As the Brand Ambassador for WTCL T10, I am proud to be associated with a project that promises to redefine sports on a global scale,” Harbhajan Singh was quoted saying at the event.
By merging cricket’s T10 dynamics with the scoring of tennis, the WTCL T10 format transforms sports through a novel match structure. Shivain Sharma who is the director of the league spoke highly about the new format.
“WTCL T10 represents a revolutionary step in sports entertainment. By combining two beloved sports into one exciting format, we aim to capture audiences worldwide and create a unique spectacle,” Shivain Sharma was quoted saying.
Harbhajan congratulates Jay Shah on his new role as an ICC President
Apart from that, Harbhajan also extended his wishes to Jay Shah who started his term as the ICC President. The 44-year-old believes the former BCCI Secretary has a great vision for shaping cricket on a global stage. Shah started his new position in the ICC on the 1st of December.
“I would like to congratulate Jay Shah for his leadership at the ICC. His vision for the future of cricket is shaping the game at a global level. I believe his efforts will continue to elevate cricket’s impact, not only in larger nations but also in smaller, emerging cricket markets,” Harbhajan said.
