Former India captain and legendary leg-spinner Anil Kumble has a mechanical engineering degree. Kumble is one of the best leg-spinners in the history of the game. He has 619 test wickets to his name which is the 4th-highest in cricket history.
2. Venkatesh Iyer

Former India captain and head coach Rahul Dravid is a commerce graduate. The right-hand batter has been one of the most elegant players in cricket history. He has scored 13,288 test runs in 164 matches for India. India also won the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 under his tenure as head coach.
8. Krishnamachari Srikkanth
Known for his explosive batting back in the day, former opener Krishnamachari Srikkanth is an electrical engineer. He has scored 4091 runs in 146 ODIs for India. He was a part of the Indian team which won the 1983 Cricket World Cup.
9. Sourav Ganguly
Former India captain Sourav Ganguly is a commerce graduate. He also has a degree from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM Calcutta). ‘Dada’ is regarded as one of the best captains in Indian cricket. He was phenomenal with the bat as well.
10. Ravi Shastri
Known for his unique style in commentary, the former Indian all-rounder has a commerce degree. Shastri was a match-winner for India with both bat and ball. He also served as India’s head coach before Rahul Dravid.
11. Suryakumar Yadav
India’s current T20I captain and one of the most explosive batters in world cricket, Suryakumar Yadav is also a commerce graduate. The right-hand batter is arguably the best T20 batter in world cricket right now.
